What is the fastest way to remove a tree stump?

The fastest way I know to remove a tree stump is by grinding it. Compared to alternative methods, using a stump grinder excels. It’s hard to know exactly how long it would take to dig a stump out versus grinding it out. For some stumps it’s not even a possibility to dig it out. I feel comfortable saying that a stump grinder could grind a stump out in at least half the time it would take to dig it. Again, this is assuming that the stump can even be dug out. Location may prevent this. All the other options that I know of for removing a stump are very slow. Applying chemicals to remove a stump takes years.
